Solidarity Granted

SunflowersWhat is “Solidarity Granted”? This is a question that has been poised to me multiple times over the past several years and ultimately one of the cumulating reasons for this website. It is about realizing and unlocking untapped value. The thing we measure with dollars. It’s about solving a problem, rising with an answer, contributing a solution gracefully…without payment in advance. It’s about shepherding in a new era where our problems are solved locally and and fiscal value is recuperated in bottom line community value. It’s about wholesaling compassion and love directly from the producer. It’s not Quid Pro Quo, it Omnis Pro Omnia.

We all want to help one another, to shepherd our families, to serve and love the world around us. Yet there are many pressing things that need to be addressed in our own lives first. I want to call that into question. We can all do more. We can all start serving more right now. Life never has been and never will be about ourselves.

However, the limits of our senses and the individual nature of our consciences guarantee that the only perspective we could ever experience is our own.

The next epoch of humanity will not hold some scientific singularity where we communicate via computer algorithms, rather it will be an era where we realize that most of perception lies outside of ourselves.

The idea that we need to serve ourselves first limits our ability to exchange to currency markets where free exchange drives all value to the lowest level to support consumer pricing. Supply is always somewhat limited to support pricing and some demands must be unmet to keep a growing economic system.

While this has served us well in the past and the free market system should be embraced for all formal trade, there is another more important market that we routinely neglect.

In this market, there is no medium of exchange and direct trade fills the unmet demands left from the primary economic system. As we neglect this underlying market of exchange we build a world where those forced into it are met by providers that take advantage of and enslave those with need.

A general economic truth is that undeveloped markets hold the greatest unrealized value. A study of this will show that even with the massive economic waste through theft, fraud, and abuse, as they are invested in, these unregulated markets create the value that drives the global economy.

The undeveloped market I’m talking about dwarfs the emerging markets of China and India over the previous 30 years and is readily accessible to us all. This market is the exchange that occurs when we serve each other.

I propose that if we treat our time and our service with the same approach that modern investors manage their funds, that we would see untold return on our investment. If we accept that often times service results in a loss, but that over the long term the value for a few non-losing investments far outweigh any loss from non performing investments then we could work more harmoniously at unlocking the value inherent to the human condition.

I encourage you to communicate with me and join me in this mission.
