Here is a December 2023 report from the U.S. Department of Justice detailing how at minimum 1 in 25 convictions are wrongful convictions. A direct quote: “Research studies place the rate of wrongful conviction between 4% and 18%.” That means it could be as high as 1 in 6. Maybe we should stop watching TV and start reengaging in political leadership. If you think the politicians, police, or prosecutors are the problem, you are part of THIS problem. Is it time for us to stop asking our leaders to “string up” our opponents?
